Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information lemmeknow (“lemmeknow,” “we,” “us”) collects through lemmeknow.app and the lmk command-line application (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: the email address and password you sign up with.
• Phone number: if you enable SMS notifications, the mobile phone number you provide so we can send them to you.
• Notification settings: your configured notification mode and threshold (e.g. notify on failure only, after 30 seconds).
• Command metadata: the lmk CLI tracks when a command starts, finishes, and its exit code, in order to decide whether to notify you. It does not collect or transmit the contents of your terminal output or command history to our servers.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store your card information ourselves.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Send you the notifications you’ve configured, including via SMS text message, when a command in your terminal finishes.
• Process payments for paid plans.
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the Service.

SMS and mobile information

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used solely to deliver the notification messages you’ve requested from lemmeknow, and is shared only with the SMS delivery infrastructure (Twilio) required to send those messages on our behalf.

You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive, or by disabling SMS notifications in your account settings. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your terminal usage and notification settings.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us run lemmeknow — currently Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Stripe (payment processing) — solely as needed to provide the Service, and never for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

We retain account and settings information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us below.

Your choices

• Update or delete your account information at any time.
• Opt out of SMS notifications by replying STOP or via account settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
