Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of lemmeknow.app and the lmk command-line application (together, the “Service”), operated by lemmeknow (“lemmeknow,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, installing the lmk CLI, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. Description of service

lemmeknow wraps your shell and notifies you — via SMS or other channels you configure — when a long-running terminal command finishes. The lmk CLI tracks only when a command starts, when it finishes, and its exit code, in order to decide whether and when to notify you. It does not collect or transmit the contents of your terminal output or your command history.

3. Accounts

You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information, including a current and reachable phone number if you enable SMS notifications, and to keep that information up to date.

4. SMS and messaging terms

SMS notifications are opt-in. You enable them through the lmk CLI (e.g. lmk phone set <number>), not through the website. By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from lemmeknow related to your terminal commands.

• Message frequency varies based on your terminal and command usage.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive, or by disabling SMS notifications in your account settings.
• Reply HELP to any message for help.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is shared only with the SMS delivery infrastructure (Twilio) required to send you the messages you’ve requested.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored by lemmeknow. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service;
• Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service;
• Resell or provide access to the Service to third parties without our consent;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the timing or delivery of any notification — carrier and SMS networks can delay or drop messages outside of our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, lemmeknow’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us below.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
